Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Overview

KChime is an AI reply assistant. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

No message storage

Messages you paste or speak into KChime are processed in real time to generate reply suggestions. We do not store, log, or retain the content of your messages after processing is complete.

Secure processing

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information during processing.

User-controlled inputs

KChime only processes the messages you explicitly share with the app. We do not read, scan, or access any messages or data on your device beyond what you provide.

Account data

If you create an account, we store your email address and subscription status. This data is used solely for authentication and billing purposes.

Google user data

When you choose to connect your Google account, KChime requests permission to access your Google Calendar data so the features you enabled can function. Specifically, we request the following OAuth scopes:

  • calendar.readonly — to import upcoming events you own into your KChime event list.
  • userinfo.email — to associate the Google account with your KChime account.

Calendar content retrieved from Google APIs is used only to power the features you enabled (calendar import) and is processed transiently. Metadata required for linking (event IDs) may be stored so that KChime can reference the source of an import.

KChime's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell Google user data, and we do not allow humans to read Google user data except: (a) with your explicit consent for a specific message, (b) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

You can revoke KChime's access at any time from the Integrations page in KChime or from your Google Account permissions page.
